This review is based on our own use in a real handmade ecommerce workflow. We separate what we have personally experienced from specifications checked against current retailer listings.
Quick verdict
We have used this GDEALER precision scale model since 2019 for weighing oils, butters and other ingredients used in small batches. We replaced one after it was physically damaged, but stayed with the same model because it does the job we need. Its current listing specifies 0.01 g resolution up to 500 g, and that finer resolution is why we use it instead of our larger package/kitchen scale for small ingredient amounts.
Where precision matters in our workflow
For oils, butters and cream ingredients, a whole gram can be too coarse. This is where the smaller scale earns its place. We use it when a formula calls for much smaller amounts and we want more control than a general kitchen scale provides.

Our GDEALER scale in real use. The compact platform is well suited to small containers.
Using the same model since 2019
We have enough history with this model to know what we are getting. One unit was replaced because it became damaged, not because we decided the design was inadequate. The replacement was the same model, and we continued using it for the same precision-oriented tasks.
The one annoyance: the last digit on our unit
On the current unit, the far-right digit occasionally does not illuminate completely. The reading is still generally understandable, but it is a real flaw worth noting on an older, heavily used precision scale. It has not been enough to stop us from using it, but it is the main complaint we have.
What we like—and what to know
- Same model used in our workflow since 2019
- 0.01 g resolution for small ingredient amounts
- Compact stainless-steel platform
- Useful for oils, butters and cream ingredients
- Simple tare-and-weigh workflow
- Last digit on our current display sometimes only illuminates partially
- 500 g capacity means it is not our choice for parcels or larger batches
- Our first unit was replaced after physical damage
